While the whole cast of Heeramandi was at the date announcement, Aditi Rao Hydari gave the event a miss. This happened right when there was speculation that she is married to Siddharth in an intimate wedding. The actress appears to have given the event a miss owing to the same reason. The host of the event hinted at the same.

Aditi’s rumoured wedding

Aditi is rumoured to already be married. There are speculations that she tied the knot with Siddharth. The Great Andhra reports that the couple had an intimate wedding in Telangana. They are reported to be married in Ranganatha Swamy temple mandapam in Srirangapur, Wanaparthi district. The priest, we hear, came from Tamil Nadu.

From the event

Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha (pregnant), Manisha Koirala and Sanjeeda Sheikh were seen at the event. Sonakshi helped Richa climb the horse cart to be able to pose for the media and leave for their destination. Apart from Aditi, from the female leads in the movie, Sharmin Segal gave the event a miss.

Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar is a Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial. It is his debut TV series, which will be out on Netflix. The story of the show is about the lives of courtesans at the red-light district of Heera Mandi in Lahore (thus the name). The story dates back to Independence and the movement against British Raj in 1940s.

Manisha Koirala plays the role of Mallikajaan, Sonakshi Sinha Fareedan, Aditi Rao Hydari Bibbojaan, Richa Chadha Lajjo, Sanjeeda Sheikh Waheeda, Sharmin Segal Alamzeb. The series will be out later this year but the date is yet to be confirmed. The makers have released the teaser, some stills and the first song from the series, Sakal Ban. The movie hopes to pay a tribute to some classic movies like Mughal-e-Azam, Mother India and Pakeezah.
