Aerosmith postpones all tour dates to 2024 as band member Steven Tyler suffers ‘serious vocal injury’

Aerosmith – a popular American rock band – has postponed all musical tour dates to 2024 as its core band member Steven Tyler is suffering from a ‘serious vocal injury’.

In a shocking development, Aerosmith – one of the most popular American rock bands has decided to postpone its tour dates to 2024. The fresh dates of the tour have not been disclosed yet. This announcement came because the band’s core member Steven Tyler is suffering from a ‘serious vocal injury’.

What is happening exactly?

A press statement shared by the band on Friday (as per Indian Standard Time) read, “To our fans: Unfortunately, Steven’s vocal injury is more serious than initially thought. His doctor has confirmed that in addition to the damage to his vocal cords, he fractured his larynx which requires ongoing care.”

Aerosmith goes on to mention that Steven “is receiving the best medical treatment available to ensure his recovery is swift, but given the nature of a fracture, he is being told patience is essential.”

“As a result, all the currently scheduled PEACE OUT shows must be postponed to sometime in 2024, with new dates to be announced as soon as we know more,” read the statement.

Steven also shared a heartfelt message to his fans and well-wishers on the development.  “I am heartbroken to not be out there with Aerosmith, my brothers, and the incredible Black Crowes, rocking with the best fans in the world. I promise we will be back as soon as we can! - Love, Steven,” wrote the established band member.

As far as the tour is concerned, “All previously purchased tickets will be honoured for the rescheduled dates, and refunds will be available for those unable to attend once those dates are announced.”
