Chaitanya Rao is the new actor on the block, signing back-to-back films in his career. He rose to fame with 30 Weds 21 and made heads turn with the superhit web series Mayasabha where he played the role of YS Rajasekhar Reddy and won the hearts of many.

After that series, Krish gave him a golden chance to act as the main villain in Anushka Shetty's film Ghaati. Though the film flopped, Chaitanya Rao's performance was widely appreciated, cementing his place as one of the most sought-after actors in Telugu cinema.

Chaitanya has now signed another important film, to be directed by popular Telugu filmmaker Kranthi Madhav. Touted to be a romantic drama, the film was launched in Hyderabad by Mayasabha fame Deva Katta.

Made on a tight budget, it is slated to hit screens in the first half of 2025. The yet-untitled film stars newcomers Ira and Sakhee as the female leads, marking the first time Chaitanya is romancing two heroines in a single film.

The project is special as Kranthi Madhav, known for Malli Malli Idhi Rani Roju and World Famous Lover, is directing it. Shooting will commence soon and is expected to wrap up in just three schedules. Phani Kalyan is the music director, with cinematography by Gnana Shekar V. S. ISC and production design by Chinna.

Kranthi Madhav opens up about his comeback

Speaking about the film, Chaitanya says he has also signed another project with Kranthi Madhav, which will go on floors in 2026. “As my last film, World Famous Lover, with Vijay Deverakonda did not click, I took a gap and have teamed up with Chaitanya for a contemporary romantic drama,” says Kranthi Madhav.
