After Silambarasan hails his future director’s Dragon, Dhanush gets praise from Lubber Pandhu filmmaker

This week, two Tamil films; Pradeep Ranganathan-starrer Dragon and Dhanush directorial Nilavu Enmel Enadi Kobam, are all set to hit big screens. With both the films promising youthful energy, Silambarasan recently took to social media to praise Dragon, directed by Ashwath Marimuthu who will helm STR 51. Following this, Lubber Pandhu filmmaker Tamizharasan Pachamuthu heaped praise on Dhanush’s film NEEK, further strengthening the speculations about his collaboration with the actor.

STR praises Dragon; Dhanush is lauded for NEEK

Silambarasan announced the collaboration with Ashwath Marimuthu with STR 51. As the director was awaiting the release of Dragon, the actor took to social media to call the film a “blockbuster”. This has further piqued the curiosity and hype around Dragon, which is set to release on February 21. The film stars Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role, and co-stars Anupama Parameswaran, Myskin, Gautham Menon and others.

In related news, Lubber Pandhu director Tamizharasan Pachamuthu praised another Tamil film which is set to release on Friday. He took to social media to appreciate Dhanush’s NEEK. The director who caught the film at a screening, said, “Watched #NEEK The movie had full of energetic moments and so refreshing. The portrayal of love and friendship was so raw and pure @dhanushkraja sir sonna madiri ‘Jolly ah vanga jolly ah ponga’ Thiruchitrambalam Vibes.”

Lubber Pandhu director to work with Dhanush?

This appreciation has further fuelled speculations that Dhanush and Tamizharasan are collaborating for a project, even as it has not been announced so far. Tamizharasan’s directorial debut Lubber Pandhu was one of the critically acclaimed and commercially successful Tamil films last year.

NEEK features Pavish, Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Varrier, Mathew Thomas, Venkatesh Menon, Rabiya Khatoon, and Ramya Ranganathan. Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam is written and directed by Dhanush. It's his third directorial after Pa Paandi and Raayan. GV Prakash has scored the music for the film.
