From Flirt to Gatha Vaibhava, Full Meals, Bank of Bhagyalakshmi and many more releases in November

October 2025 was the Kantara Chapter 1 month as far as Sandalwood was concerned. In the first 2 weeks after the Rishab Shetty-led Kantara prequel come out, there were only 2 other Kannada films that made it to theatres, with another 3 expected in the last two weeks. With December booked by the big stars, Darshan, Sudeep, Shivarajkumar and Upendra, and Dhruva Sarja’s KD The Devil rumoured to be out of the 2025 race, a bunch of smaller Kannada films are making a beeline for all the available dates in November.

Kicking it off is actor Chandan Kumar, best known for roles in Love U Alia and Prema Baraha, who turns director with the film Flirt. Chandan, who has not had a film role since Prema Baraha, has also produced the film, which also stars Nimika Ratnakar, Shruti Krishna, Sadhu Kokila and Giri Shivanna, among others. The film has blocked November 7 for its theatrical release.

A week later, it is the turn of director Simple SuNi for his next, Gatha Vaibhava, which stars Dushyanth and Ashika Ranganath in the lead. As of now, Gatha Vaibhava has no other Kannada film competition on November 14, but that is subject to change, if more films strive for a 2025 release.

The third week of November is when the action heats up. First up to book the November 21 slot was the film Full Meals. The romantic comedy has Likith Shetty in the lead, along with Kushee Ravi and Tejaswini Sharma. Rangayana Raghu, Suraj Lokre, Vijay Chendoor, Ravi Shankar Gowda, Rajesh Nataranga, Sujay Shastry, among others are also a part of the film.

Dheekshith Shetty’s comedy heist film Bank of Bhagyalakshmi is the next listed for November 21. He is joined by Brinda Acharya and Usha Bhandary on the cast. The third film on the day is veteran filmmaker S Narayan’s thriller Marutha starring Shreyas K Manju in the lead, with Duniya Vijay in a pivotal role. This will be Brinda Acharya’s second film that week. Marutha was earlier meant to be an October 31 release, but was pushed ahead.

Last, but not the least, on November 21 is Maarnami, a love story set in coastal Karnataka, featuring Ritvvikk Shetty and Chaithra J Achar in the lead. This is a Charan Raj musical. Then, in the last week of November, Vijay Raghavendra returns as Inspector Seetharam in director Deviprasad Shetty’s Second Case of Seetharam. Gopalkrishna Deshpande is the villain in the film that’s releasing on November 28.

Kannada-dubbed titles and other big releases in the race in November

Kannada filmmaker Nanda Kishore’s big-ticket Mohanlal starrer Vrusshabha is a Malayalam and Telugu release, but will have other dubbed versions too, especially since most of the cast is from Sandalwood, including Samarjit Lankesh, Ragini Dwivedi and Garuda Ram, among others. The film releases on November 6.

Then, on November 7, Rashmika Mandanna’s Telugu film The Girlfriend, will release with a Kannada version. Produced by Allu Arjun’s home banner, the film directed by Rahul Ravindran has Dheekshith Shetty paired with Rashmika, and, hence, the increased likelihood of a Kannada-dubbed release.
