Agilan first look: Jayam Ravi returns to screen as a marine engineer in new film

Directed by Kalyan Krishnan, this is the second collaboration between the actor and directed after Bhooloham

Jayam Ravi’s name is a popular one in the South Industry for his intriguing and entertaining story choices, and the actor is now back with another one, titled Agilan. The makers of the movie have released the first look poster.

The poster immediately catches the attention of the viewer and has already started to interest fans on social media. The poster features the Ravi in an all uniform, on what appears to be a ship. Behind the actor, there are a number of containers that seem to be cargo. The character is intense and is doing work on the ship under the pouring rain.

Reportedly, the movie will see the star play the role of a Marine Engineer. While the title reads Agilan, the tagline reads “King of the Indian Ocean”.

Agilan is the second collaboration between the actor and director, having previously worked on the 2015 sports action drama Bhooloham. With Ravi and Trisha in the lead roles and Prakash Raj, Nathan Jones, in supporting roles, the movie received mixed reviews, but was a success.

The movie, which also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar and Tanya Ravichandran playing female leads, has Sam Cs as the music director. Agilan is bankrolled by Screen Scene Media Entertainment.

Jayam Ravi was last seen in the action drama Bhoomi and is currently working on the highly anticipated magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan: I. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the movie also boasts a list of stars such as Karthi, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayaram and more.
