Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Tiger Shroff was asked about what went wrong with his last release, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. He said that, unfortunately, it did not connect with audiences.
He added, "But I really enjoyed the whole process of shooting the film and I’m forever grateful to (producers) Vashu Bhagnani ji and Jackky Bhagnani ji, to our director Ali Abbas Zafar Sir—who is one of my most favourite directors—and of course, my co-actor and childhood hero, Akshay Kumar Sir. We had a blast shooting the film, and I wouldn’t change anything if I had to do the film again."
India's gross collection for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is Rs. 78.49 crore, while the worldwide collection is Rs. 111.49 crore, as per Sacnilk. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan received mixed responses from critics and netizens.
Talking about Baaghi 4, Tiger said that the fate of a film can't be predicted. But he, along with others, has honestly given their thousand percent on this one. "I’m just so grateful God has blessed the Baaghi franchise. The fact that it has reached its fourth instalment is a very, very big deal for me, and I’m deeply thankful to Sajid Nadiadwala Sir for giving me this platform and this franchise," he said.
When asked if his young fans would be left out because Baaghi 4 is very violent, Tiger said that action is definitely his forte. He also said that it is tough to constantly reinvent himself in the genre, but with Baaghi 4, he is confident that this is a very different aspect, perspective, and language of action that he has attempted.
"This is a very different version of me and, I’d say, a sub-genre within the action genre. I’m hoping that just as audiences accepted me in War when I did something different, they’ll accept me the same way in this avatar," he said.
Baaghi 4, directed by A. Harsha, is all set to hit cinemas on September 5. After its theatrical run, the film will land on Prime Video.
