Ahsaas Channa, who is all set for the release of her new web series Salesman of the Year, which also features Hussain Dalal as the male protagonist, shares that it was challenging for her to play a corporate professional onscreen.

The story revolves around a young Hyderabadi man, Karthik Reddy, played by Hussain, who get a sales job in Delhi. He is quite lost after shifting his base from South to North India, in an unfamiliar city, that is culturally different, and with a boss who shows no mercy. With hope in his heart and ambition in his veins, he begins to deal with a highly competitive workspace.

Ahsaas plays a corporate professional named Ira Saxena.

Talking about the show, the actress said that this is one of the most mature and challenging characters that she has played so far. Ahsaas said, "To portray a cold, aggressive corporate woman who comes with a gripping backstory was amazing. The team made the entire journey and experience exciting, and hopefully viewers will find both Ira Saxena and the show as exciting as I did!"

Starting her career as a child actor, Ahsaas played the role of little boys in films like Vaastu Shastra and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. She has now managed to create a space for herself on OTT platforms, with web shows like Girls Hostel, Kota Factory, Hostel Daze, The Interns, Jugaadistan and Modern Love Mumbai, among many others.

Salesman of the Year, a five-episode web series, is directed by Ankita Sharma. The series is written by Rajesh Narasimhan and Ashiish V Patil.

The show will release on MX Player on December 21.
