All India Rankers series lands in controversy

Recently, at OTTplay, we reported that a section of the audience belonging to a particular caste was upset with the show for portraying them negatively through a series of back-to-back scenes. This did not sit well with many viewers, who began trolling the platform rather than the makers.

ETV Win, known for backing clean content, came under pressure due to the controversy. As a result, the team decided to remove all objectionable scenes from the series and promptly edited the content.

The platform confirmed this on social media: "At Ramoji Group, we are committed to respecting everyone’s sentiments and avoiding any offense. All objectionable scenes in the AIR web series have been removed. Thank you for your continued support,"

AIR has been directed by Joseph Clinton and produced by Colour Photo fame Sandeep Raj. Harsh Roshan, who impressed audiences in Nani’s Court, plays the lead in this college comedy. The show, which consists of seven episodes, is hilarious and entertaining.

AIR backdrop and story

Set in an IIT coaching institute in Vijayawada, AIR is a coming-of-age drama that explores the challenges students face while preparing for competitive exams. The best part of the series is its clean content, making it suitable for family viewing.
