Actor-director Ajay Devgnm who is quite excited about his upcoming film Bholaa, reveals the thought that went behind creating the action set pieces in the new action thriller film, which also stars Tabu.

Known for delivering high-octane action films, Ajay believes in creating new and original set pieces for the scenes. “You know without naming any of them I want the way that most of the films that I see, especially action films that even though they are fabulous action, one can see very clearly how they are inspired by Hollywood or a European film, the resemblance is there. When it my action film is concerned, my whole intention is to create something new. Once you create something new, execute it in a different way. That is why in Shivaay and in this one, people would say that there are shots that one wouldn't know how it must have been taken. It is a whole process from creating to executing that is long. But the core intention is to create something new, keep it stylised but very Indian, not westernising it completely."

The actor started his career in 1991 with Phool Aur Kaante, and then went on to do memorable films like Jigar, Vijay Path, Suhaag, Singham, Singham Returns, Shivaay and Tanhaji, to name a few.

Although the makers would ensure that safety measures are maintained on the film set, Ajay recalled how earlier every action hero used to get injured while performing stunts. Asked if he fears getting injured now, Ajay said, “No, we do not fear anymore, but many bones of our body were injured somewhere or the other. Sometimes, when I wake up in the morning and feel some pain from an old injury, it just reminds me of that time!”

Bholaa is a remake of the Tamil film, Kaithi, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Actor Karthi played the lead role in the Tamil version. The Hindi remake is shot extensively across three cities - Mumbai, Hyderabad and Varanasi.

After two teasers of the film, the song Nazar Lag Jayegi was released and it got a lot of appreciation from the audience. The song was composed by Ravi Basrur and written by Irshad Kamil.

Bholaa also features Sanjay Mishra, Vineet Kumar, Gajraj Rao and Raai Laxmi, among others. It is scheduled to release on March 10.
