Alia Bhatt names Lata Mangeshkar's 'Lag Ja Gale', 'Dholida' from Gangubai Kathiawadi as songs that empower her

The Instagram account of Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions featured Gangubai Kathiawadi actor Alia Bhatt on Instagram Stories yesterday. The actor shared a brief list of songs that empower her.

In the list is the late singer Lata Mangeshkar's song 'Lag Ja Gale' from 1964 film Wo Kaun Thi 'Dholida' from Bhatt's latest film that's composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, 'Where Are You' by Belarusian musician Otnicka, and 'Saada Pyaar' by Punjabi singer AP Dhillon.

Bhatt plays the titular role in Bhansali's directorial, which is adapted from a chapter from S Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. Ajay Devgn, Shantanu Maheshwari, Seema Pahwa, Vijay Raaz also star in key roles.

The film was released in Indian cinemas on Friday (February 25) and has since then garnered a positive response. On Day 2, the film earned Rs 13.32 crore at the box office.

Before its theatrical release, Gangubai Kathiawadi had its world premiere at this year's Berlin International Film Festival.
