Kantara is all set to enthral the Telugu audiences. Having already gained a lot of fandom and reputation across the country, the film reaches new shores on a pedestal, of sorts, with the release prospects looking quite bright for the makers. And with someone like Allu Aravind joining them in the cause, one can certainly expect Rishab Shetty's film to reach the intended audience without much trouble.

And ahead of the release of Kantara (Telugu) on October 15, actor-director Rishab Shetty, female lead Sapthami Gowda, and distributor Allu Aravind attended a media gathering to discuss the film and how the new Telugu version will extend its reach. While Sapthami thanked Allu Aravind and Geetha Arts for their contribution, Rishab spoke with his usual candour about his film and revealed his admiration for the Telugu Film Industry.

"The film comes with the tagline 'A Legend' and I know that Balakrishna sir has a film called Legend already! I have been a big fan of Telugu cinema myself, watched many films, and been a huge fan of all the big actors from here so, it's great that my film is releasing in Telugu. Kantara is all about folklore and I know that the Telugu states too are rich in heritage and tradition, which means that the film will certainly resonate with the people here. And it's a matter of great pride and joy that a legend like Allu Aravind sir is presenting my film - two of my films, Bell Bottom and Hero, are available in Telugu on his own OTT platform Aha so, I would assume that the audience would already recognise me here," said Rishab Shetty while speaking to the media.

Revered producer and distributor Allu Aravind then took the stage to share his thoughts on Kantara and how the film impacted him as a viewer first. "I watched the last 40 minutes of the film with bated breath - Rishab's performance is simply excellent," he said with all sincerity and lauded Rishab Shetty for masterfully blending folklore, divinity, and other elements in the film.

"If you have liked a film like Pushpa which is set against the backdrop of nature and forests, you will love Kantara. Despite having made so many films to date, I feel like I could learn something new from these guys," he would add before congratulating producer Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films for the association.
