SS Rajamouli is truly showing the way forward for many filmmakers to dream big in Telugu cinema. If Baahubali proved what Telugu cinema was capable of pulling off, on a national scale, the filmmaker's next, RRR, the historical fiction story starring Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Alia Bhatt in key roles, is setting new records for its first single Dosti that released across five languages on YouTube. Treading a similar path, the first single of Allu Arjun's upcoming rustic action drama Pushpa, directed by Sukumar with music by Devi Sri Prasad, will also release in as many languages on August 13.

The makers of Pushpa, announcing the same earlier this Monday commemorating composer Devi Sri Prasad's birthday, unveiled a promo of the song. The brief 30-second long promo features the music director Devi Sri Prasad and the five singers who've lent their voice for the single across five languages including Vishal Dadlani (Hindi), Shivam (Telugu), Vijay Prakash (Kannada), Rahul Nambiar (Malayalam) and Benny Dayal (Tamil). The singers introduce themselves and ask viewers 'Are you ready for the first single of Pushpa?' while the song titles flash across in a few seconds. The song is titled Odu Odu Aadu, Daakko Daakko Meka, Jokke Jokke Meke, Odu Odu Aade and Jaago Jaago Bakre in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages respectively.

Audiences get a brief glimpse of the Telugu number with Devi Sri Prasad's energetic voice that plays in the background with the lyrics 'Daakko Daakko Meka, Pulocchi Korukuddi Peeka' (Oh goat, find a place to hide, the tiger is on the prowl). Pushpa is touted to be a two-part film based on sandlwood smuggling and also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil and Anasuya in key roles. This is Allu Arjun's third collaboration with the director Sukumar after Arya and Arya 2. The film is being made in Telugu and will be dubbed in four other languages including Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada. Mythri Movie Makers are bankrolling the action spectacle that may release in December 2021.
