Amazon Prime Video original The Family Man is making headlines after its second season’s release. Another original, Mirzapur, also released its second season. However, there is no update on one of its highly-popular shows Inside Edge’s third season.

While in an interview with OTTplay, Tanuj had confirmed that he had shot for the show and it was under post-production, it now looks like Inside Edge 3 has gotten into trouble. A report on Bollywood Hungama states that Amazon Prime Video is unhappy with the show and has asked the makers to reshoot it altogether or scrap it.

"The content isn't upto the mark and after tasting success in The Family Man 2, the heads of Amazon Prime Video are being very cautious about the image of their platform. They don't want to touch anything that's substandard," a trade source told the portal.

Talking about the scene, the little birdie added, "There is an entire Indo-Pak element, wherein Vivek Oberoi's character teams up with the Pakistan cricket board to destroy the Indian Cricket League. While they do believe that the content has potential, they also fear controversy with an added up negative factor of below par content. All these factors have forced Amazon Team to suggest the creators of Inside Edge 3 to reshoot the series."

Various reports have also stated that Karan Anshuman opened up on the rumours. He reportedly told Subhash K Jha that the story about the project being scrapped is ‘absurd and malicious.’

Inside Edge features Tanuj Virwani, Vivek Oberoi, Richa Chadha, Angad Bedi, Sayani Gupta, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sapna Pabbi in the lead roles. It also stars Amit Sial, Aamir Bashir, Manu Rishi, Jitin Gulati, Sarah Jane-Dias, Flora Saini, Akashdeep Arora, Sanjay Suri, Karan Oberoi, Elli Avram, Alexx O’Neill, Aahana Kumra, Vidya Malvade and Luke Kenny in pivotal roles.
