The report also mentioned that this schedule will capture some of the most important portions of the film, and then the team will continue shooting the rest of the film in a studio in Mumbai. Actress Chitrangda Singh has also joined the team for key scenes alongside Salman.

On the other hand, India Today reported that the team is set to film the climax sequences in Leh and Ladakh over the next 2-3 weeks. "Galwan’s climax is among the most important parts of the film, both visually and emotionally. Given Leh and Ladakh’s unpredictable weather, the makers want to ensure the quality of these sequences is not compromised. That is why they are planning to complete as much as possible during this schedule itself,” a source informed.

More about Battle of Galwan

Battle of Galwan is based on the June 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley. Despite the agreement to ban firearms, it resulted in fierce hand-to-hand fighting. Salman Khan is set to star as Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu, the commanding officer who was posthumously awarded the Maha Vir Chakra. This story focuses on the bravery and sacrifice of Indian soldiers who defended their territory, and the film emphasizes the theme of courage and patriotism in the harsh conditions of the high-altitude region.

Meanwhile, earlier, Mid-Day reported that the team is aiming for a May 2026 release, which coincides with Bakri Eid. "Battle of Galwan is a war film mounted on a big scale. Shooting in the high altitudes of Ladakh is anyway challenging; it will only be compounded by the film’s scale and the elaborate action set-pieces. Eid is mid-March next year. The team doesn’t want to rush the shoot or post-production just to meet that deadline," the source added.
