Anil Kapoor’s fan, who loved seeing him in the Prime Video series Subedaar, demanded that the actor come back with a new season of 24. Paying heed to the demand, Anil Kapoor confirmed on Twitter that it is happening soon. “Coming with 24 soon,” the actor wrote with a punch emoji. For the unversed, season 3 was going to be reprised in 2018, but the project did not take off during the expected timeline.
Anil Kapoor-led 24 season 2 was released in 2016, which is exactly a decade before. The first season was out on TV in 2013. The TV series was about ATU chief Jai Singh Rathod facing a large threat and having just 24 hours at hand to solve it.
Adapted from the Hollywood series, 24 season 2 saw Jai Singh Rathod in rehabilitation after fighting alcohol addiction. He needs to stop a terrorist mastermind Roshan Sherchan (Ashish Vidyarthi) from releasing a deadly weaponised virus in Mumbai. As always, Jai has 24 hours to complete his mission.
The Abhinay Deol-directed series also featured Sakshi Tanwar as Jai’s boss Mallika Sen, Surveen Chawla as his lover Maya, and Sikander Kher as Haroon Sherchan. Neil Bhoopalam reprised the role of Aditya Singhania, who is now the PM of the nation.
