Ranbir Kapoor is currently keeping himself busy. The actor recently wrapped up the Punjab schedule of his upcoming film, Animal which marks his first collaboration with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The highly anticipated film promises to showcase Ranbir in a never before seen avatar, and it seems that the character will live up to its promise. Ranbir recently opened up about how challenging the character was for him.

In a recent media interaction, Ranbir was asked which was the most challenging character he had ever played in his career. The actor replied that the character he is currently essaying in Animal has been the most challenging so far.

“It’s challenging because I have never played such a grey character before. It has been quite a shocking character for me to play, so yes, it was very challenging”, said Ranbir.

The upcoming film will mark Sandeep’s first film since 2019’s Kabir’s Singh, which starred Shahid Kapoor in the lead role. The film was the Hindi remake of Vijay Deverakonda’s Arjun Reddy(Telugu), which Sandeep had also directed.

In addition to Ranbir, the film also features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri in prominent roles. Anil will essay the role of Ranbir’s father in the film

Animal will hit the big screens this year on August 11, 2023, in the languages of Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.

Meanwhile, Ranbir is busy promoting his upcoming film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, which marks Luv Ranjan’s first directorial in almost four years. The romantic comedy also stars Shraddha Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, Monica Chaudhary, Hasleen Kaur, Rajesh Jais and Ayesha Raza Mishra in prominent roles. Boney will make his acting debut in the film, which will be released on March 8.
