Kaushik Ganguly is gearing up with his next film, Ashush Bishukh with a surprising star cast. The film will feature Sayani Gupta, Parambrata Chatterjee, Ishaa Saha, and Ankush. Besides, Paran Bandyopadhyay and Labani Sarkar might also play two important roles.

The film is a satirical comedy inside a family atmosphere, which also gives a social message. Koushik previously made comedies like Jackpot and Rang Milanti. Koushik said, “The film tells the story of living a daily middle-class life. This is a satire about how people face confusion and harassment during their health treatments. The theme is relevant, but this is not a serious film. I believe that a message of sadness when told in a light mood, leaves a deeper impact.”

Srijib and Ujaan Ganguly – Kaushik's son – wrote the screenplay and dialogue. Indraadip Dasgupta is the composer, and Shadow Films is the producer.

Four More Shots Please-actress Sayani Gupta plays a character who is an outsider in Kolkata. The actress is well known for her characters in Margarita with a Straw and Article 15. Koushik said, “Sayani is a gifted actress. since her character is not from Kolkata, Sayani will be comfortable portraying the character and throwing the dialogue.”

This is Ishaa and Ankush’s first time with Koushik. Ankush acted with him in Sikarpur and Uttaran as a co-actor. “I saw how much concentration Ankush uses while working. He has a particular standpoint when he comes out of commercial films and works in different kinds. I chose Ankush while making Kabaddi Kabaddi, but then altered the decision because he was not a good fit. But Asukh Bisukh's character is written keeping him in mind. Isha is also doing good work. I worked with Param in many films previously.” Koushik said.

Today is the film's Muharrat, and Sayani is coming to Kolkata for that. Most of the shooting will take place in Kolkata, and some parts will happen in North Bengal.
