Deepika Padukone has received a ton of support ever since the Academy announced that she would be one of the Oscar 2023 presenters. Her acting teacher and senior actor Anupam Kher also sent a heartfelt congratulations message on Instagram, along with a vintage photo from back when she was his student.

"Dearest @deepikapadukone! Congratulations on being one of the presenters at this year’s #Oscar ceremony! Every time you climb one step higher on the ladder of success, we at @actorprepares feel proud to have been part of your journey. On a personal note, as your teacher, I always knew the sky was not the limit. You will go beyond! Love and blessings always!" the seasoned actor stated.

Anupam Kher also praised Pathaan's enormous success and added, "Congratulations for #Pathaan too! Jai Ho! #ActorPrepares #Student #Actress."

She will be joining actors such as Janelle Monae, Zoe Saldana, Jennifer Connelly, Riz Ahmed, Melissa McCarthy, Samuel L. Jackson, Glenn Close, Dwayne Johnson, Michael B. Jordan, Janelle Monae, and others.

The 95th Academy Awards will be held on March 12 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. The fact that Naatu Naatu the popular dance song from SS Rajamouli's blockbuster RRR, is the front-runner in the Original Song category this year, makes the Oscars relevant for India.

All That Breathes by Shaunak Sen is competing in the documentary feature category, while Elephant Whisperers produced by Guneet Monga, is in the category of documentary short.

In the past, Deepika served as the jury representative for India at the Cannes Film Festival's 75th anniversary event in 2022. On December 18, before the championship game between France and Argentina, she made the FIFA World Cup trophy public at Lusail Stadium.

The actor is doing well since the movie Pathaan which also stars Shah Rukh Khan, was released. She is now in the process of filming Project K, a science fiction film that also stars Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan.
