Paradha is Anupama Parameshwaran’s new Telugu film, which is all set to hit the screens on August 22, 2025. Ever since the first look and trailer were released there has been a decent buzz surrounding this social drama. However, the makers initially ran into problems as buyers in the Telugu states were not very keen to acquire the film, which delayed its release. Now, with all hurdles cleared, a small pre-release event was held in Hyderabad to promote the film.

Anupama Parameswaran makes headlines with Paradha

Speaking at the event, Anupama Parameshwaran was lively and confident. She said, “From the day I heard the story, I had a lot of hopes pinned on this film, which is a rustic social drama. The thrills, the social message, and the performances will make it one of a kind. There is no denying the fact that my performance in this film is my best to date, and I am confident that the audience who watches it on the big screen will also feel the same.”

Anupama further revealed that the makers went through several struggles to release the film theatrically, even though there was heavy pressure to opt for an OTT release. “The team stood strong and ensured that Paradha gets its big-screen release,” she added.

Paradha is also special as it marks Malayalam actress Darshana Rajendran’s Telugu debut. She attended the event and expressed that working in a Telugu film was a dream come true. Anupama praised director Praveen Kandregula as a clear visionary who showcased all three key characters, Sangita, Darshana Rajendran, and herself, powerfully.
