Veteran actress and director Aparna Sen is unwell. She was supposed to join an event on Saturday on the eve of the silver jubilee of the West Bengal Motion Pictures Artists Forum. The event was attended by Prosenjit Chatterjee, Chiranjit Chakraborty, Dipankar Dey, Roopa Ganguly, and others. But everyone’s favorite ‘Rinadi’ had to give it a miss. She sent a message through Shankar Chakraborty, where she shared her state of health with the others.

The 77-year-old actress said in the message, “I am not in a state to go anywhere. My blood pressure is falling and my head spins whenever I leave my bed.” She is on bed rest according to her physician's advice. She regretted not being able to attend.

Aparna Sen got unwell due to her blood pressure issues. However, it is not a matter of grave concern. Aparna Sen is one of Bengal’s favorite actresses, who debuted with the Ray film, Tin Kanya. She has acted in many movies opposite Uttam Kumar and Soumitra Chatterjee. She has reigned over the arthouse as well as the commercial films.

Aparna Sen is also a versatile film director, who presented us with films, like 36 Chowringhee Lane, Parama, and Paromitar Ekdin. She is one of the faces of the Bengali intellectuals. Her state of health is therefore saddening to her fans. Everyone is praying for her speedy recovery.
