During his exclusive chat with OTTplay, Naveen Kasturia got candid and has opened up about whether and how his upcoming web series Salakaar is different from Pratik Gandhi's Saare Jahaan Se Accha

Pratik Gandhi's Saare Jahan Se Accha is back in news, this time for the trailer release. The series co-incidentally shares a similar plot with the upcoming OTT release, Salakaar. Naveen Kasturia, who is the leading face for Salakaar, has now spoken to OTTplay exclusively about how the two series are very different from each other.

'Two directors with same script will still make a different project'

When we spoke to the actor after the promos of Saare Jahan Se Accha came out about how he feels the two shows could be different, his initial reaction was, "I haven’t seen it, so how should I tell you already how are they different? But what I can tell you, though, is that they will be different."

"Even if two directors take the same script, it will still be different in its execution. I have seen the teaser, but the show isn't out yet, so I can't tell you yet. One thing I know that is that the treatment, approach and characters are very different," he added.

'Stories are very limited, execution matters'

Naveen Kasturia, who plays the role of a RAW agent sent as a spy in Pakistan to stop the terror, believes that stories are limited, but execution sets them apart. "The thing is that stories are very limited. How you execute it and tell your story, is what sets them apart," Naveen Kasturia shared with us.

'Saiyaara and Dhadak 2 are also love stories, but very different'

The actor cites the example of how two love stories Saiyaara and Dhadak 2 are different from each other. "Saiyaara was also a love story and Dhadak 2 is also a love story. I'm sure they're different from each other," he said, adding that is how Salakaar and Saare Jahan Se Accha would also be different from each other even if the concept is the same. "So, I feel like Salakaar and Saare Jahan Se Accha are different in some way. Whether they are good or not, we would know after both the series are out," the actor said and signed off.
