Arjun Kapoor is all set to play the role of a cop in Aasmaan Bhardwaj's directorial debut, Kuttey. The film features an ensemble cast, including Naseeruddin Shah, Tabu, Arjun Kapoor, Konkona Sensharma, Kumud Mishra, Radhika Madan, and Shardul Bhardwaj. At the grand trailer launch, Arjun spoke at length about collaborating with the stalwarts for the first time in his decade-long journey in Bollywood. The actor recalled why he said yes to Kuttey.

Arjun was heard saying, "When this film was offered to me, it was the first lockdown here, and we started discussing the script. Aasmaan and Vishal Sir were working on it, and from there till today, to just see it, I am very overwhelmed by the fact that we could make this film in such a way."

Talking about his 10-year journey in the movies as an actor, the actor further shared, "As an actor, if I can feel this after 10 years of my career, to be a part of this amazing ensemble and work with such amazing actors, most of them for the first time. For me, I think it's just it's a very big tick mark in my bucket list of being an entertainer and performer and the quest to be a better actor. You never stop learning in this profession. Success or failure is never in our hands, but learning is. My choice to do this was to get out of my comfort zone. I wanted to do something different from mainstream and offbeat cinema. I just wanted to do something that really excites me and makes me nervous. I was very nervous about sharing screen space with such amazing actors and doing a film, which is perhaps not as mainstream as what people are used to seeing me do."

Arjun concluded by saying, "So I'm just really happy and grateful that this film has become a reality. The fact that I seem like I fit in the trailer really nicely with such good actors, and I look the part, and full credit goes to Aasmaan for the way he designed the look and for the way he's made the film."

Kuttey is slated to release on January 13, 2023.
