At India Today's Hello! Hall of Fame Awards, Arjun Rampal spoke about how Dhurandhar 2 was his revenge for what happened on 26/11 at the time when he was prepped to celebrate his birthday at a 5-star hotel, which was under attack on the very day.

He said, “In the morning when I drove back home, I had to stop at least three times because I thought I was going to be sick. When Aditya Dhar narrated to me the 26/11 scene, I knew I was going to have my revenge, and that's what I did with Dhurandhar.”

How did Arjun Rampal avert the attacked site?

Arjun Rampal avoided the attacked site thanks to one of his friends delaying the departure from one hotel to the next. Arjun, who arrived to pick up his friends from another luxury hotel at the time, suddenly heard the blast. The friends had ordered drinks and their glasses shook, leaving them wondering what just unfolded on November 26, 2008.

Panic hit and within a few minutes, every guest within the hotel was instructed to not leave the premises because it was unsafe outside. They were offered to stay at the hotel at night, but for Arjun Rampal, who was excited to celebrate his birthday, he saw the horrors of the attack play out. Nonetheless, he almost averted the attacked site thanks to his friend taking time to get ready.
