BTS fans called ARMY took to Twitter to shower praises on the group's leader RM who was officially appointed as the public relations ambassador for the Ministry of National Defence's excavation team.

Videos and photos from the event of Kim Namjoon's official appointment have been going viral on social media.

While being presented with this new role, the speaker was heard reciting the lyrics of BTS' famous song 'Spring Day'.

Soon after, hastages, 'Proud Ambassador RM' started doing the rounds on social media. Some even humorously commented that it is time for Namjoon to be appointed as the President of South Korea.

Not only that, but RM is also an ambassador for UNICEF, has a diplomatic passport, served as a special envoy for the South Korean president, won a cultural merit award, spoke at the UN, was a guest speaker at the White House, and was named an honorary ambassador for the 2030 World Expo.

What is an action recovery agency?

The Ministry of National Defence excavation team retrieves the bones of the fallen Korean War heroes and sees to it that they are delivered to their appropriate families.

The goal of the project is to find and identify the remains of Korean War heroes whose identities have been unknown for a long time. To raise awareness of the project and garner public support, the idol will employ a variety of strategies.
