"The King has returned" is what is trending on Twitter after former India skipper Virat Kohli smashes 53-ball 100 in India's last game against Afghanistan.

He scored 122 runs - his first 100 in T20 cricket. This is Kohli's first century in 84 innings in international cricket.

Seeing the No 3 batter smash a ton got netizens excited as Kohli finally achieved his 71st century.

Earlier, skipper Rohit Sharma was rested and the game saw KL Rahul open the game with Kohli. The pair added over 119 runs for the opening wicket and later saw Kohli taking India's score to 212 for 2 wickets.

Fareed Ahmad removed Rahul on 62(41) and then went to remove Suryakumar Yadav in the same over.
