On August 15, 2025, Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 turned 1. To celebrate, Dinesh Vijan is all set to expand the Maddock Horror-Comedy Universe with Thama, starring Ayushmann Khurrana. The World of Thama, aka the teaser, will be released on August 19.

Announcing it, the makers dropped a video where Sarkata from Stree 2, Stree, Bhediya and Munjya were mentioned to introduce Thama, and the voiceover is done by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. He said, "Who is the most powerful? Is it Stree or Sarkata or Bhediya or Munjya? No. There is one who is more powerful than these. The most dangerous person whom people will know by one name, Thama."
