While the previous three instalments were remakes of south films, Varsham, Kshanam and Vettai, respectively, it remains unknown at this point if Baaghi 4 also has source material or is an original story. Based on the trailer, though, netizens are convinced that it is heavily inspired by Animal and Marco.
Baaghi 4 hits theatres with an OTT partner already in place. The film’s trailer and posters carry Amazon Prime Video prominently, and it is expected that will be on the platform after the 8-week mandate, which culminates on October 31. The film will, therefore, be on the platform in the first week of November, in all probability.
The film’s cinematography has been handled by Swamy J Gowda, who has been Harsha’s regular collaborator since the filmmaker’s 2013 film Bhajarangi, marking their ninth project together. Sanjay Dutt is the main antagonist, while Sonam Bajwa, Harnaaz Sandhu, Shreyas Talpade, Upendra Limaye, Saurabh Sachdeva and Sheeba Akashdeep Sabir are also on the cast.
According to the censor certificate, Baaghi 4 has been given an A-rating, which is not surprising, given the amount of bloodshed and graphic violence in the trailer. The film is also said to be long, at 2 hours and 43 minutes run-time. Tiger’s character will not only battle Sanjay Dutt and co, but his inner demons too, as he struggles with grief, guilt and a fractured mind.
