SS Rajamouli's re-mastered and re-edited film, which was released in theatres on October 31, has now made its digital debut on Netflix, adding to the Christmas cheer. Baahubali: The Epic streaming on Netflix

Ace Telugu filmmaker SS Rajamouli shot to national fame with Baahubali: The Beginning in 2015, which starred actor Prabhas in the lead role. Rajamouli followed up his 2015 success with a stellar sequel Baahubali: The Conclusion in 2017. To mark the 10th anniversary, the makers combined the two popular movies and bundled them together into a single epic movie. Nearly two months after its theatrical release, Baahubali: The Epic dropped on Netflix on December 25, 2025. The Telugu film is only available to stream in Hindi on the platform. The film is also expected to land on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium later.

Baahubali The Epic plot

Prabhas stars as the young Shivudu, who stumbles upon his royal lineage while on a quest to trace a beautiful woman in the first half, featuring scenes from Baahubali part 1. The viewers are then introduced to the majestic land of Mahishmati, and its mean ruler Bhallaladeva. Shivudu realises that he is the son of Bhallaladeva’s cousin Amarendra. The film breaks for the interval sequence with the big reveal of loyal aide Kattappa being the murderer of Amarendran, that led to the most-asked question ‘Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali’. The second half will focus on the events that unfolded in Baahubali: The Conclusion as the youth seeks revenge and reclaims his place at the royal court.

First-of-its-kind initiative, Baahubail The Epic raked in Rs 52.15 crore, as per trade tracker Sacnilk. Both Baahubali films were blockbusters when released in theatres earlier and had a phenomenal run across the country.

Baahubali The Epic Runtime

The runtime of Baahubali The Epic is 3 hours and 42 minutes. Since both films have a runtime of 2.5 hours, the makers have removed significant portions to package the plot in the single film. Shivudu-Avantika’s initial enemies-to-lovers track and the Panchhi Bole (Hindi) song have been removed.

Apart from Prabhas in dual roles, the film also features Rana Daggubati as the villain, along with actors Sathyaraj, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, and Nassar. Director SS. Rajamouli had also penned the films.
