Babli: Subhashree Ganguly pens an open letter for her character

It has already been widely reported that Raj Chakraborty has started working on Buddhadeb Guha’s novel, Babli. In fact, OTTplay was the first to bring you the news. The love story will feature Subhashree Ganguly and Abir Chatterjee in the lead with Sauraseni Maitra playing a key character. Now that the shooting is over, Subhashree shared a heartfelt note for her character.

Babli talks of different shades of love. Subhasree Ganguly portrays the character on screen. Buddhadeb Guha did not paint Babli as an ethereal beauty. In the novel, she is rather portrayed as a real-life character. She has love, jealousy, and other shades. Subhasree portrays that all-enduring love in her photo. She poses in a dancing manner in a shaded spot.
Subhasree wrote in the caption, “Hi Babli, you were one of the most beautiful, intelligent, witty, complicated, vulnerable, confident, sweet, loving characters I have played. Thank you my director @rajchoco for imagining me as Babli. Thank you @itsmeabirchatterjee for being Abhi. Raj Chakraborty announced the making of Babli at the beginning of 2024. The shooting took place in Chalsa, Samsing, Dhupjhora, and around the Murti River in Dooars. Sauraseni Maitra will also be in the film, playing Jhuma. Indraadip Dasgupta composed the film’s music.
