Bad Girl box office collection day 1:

Bad Girl has collected Rs 0.11 crore on day one at the box office. Given the film features a fresh cast and crew, made on a humble budget, and does not conform to the mainstream audience, Bad Girl's collection is decent. The film is helmed by debutant Varsha Bharath, a former associate of director Vetrimaaran who backed the film.

Bad Girl has opened to positive reviews. Hence the positive word of mouth is expected to get translated into footfall in theatres. The film is currently running in big screens, and with the weekend ongoing, Bad Girl might have more audience coming in.

The film is essentially a coming-of-age drama which revolves around a young girl Ramya who comes from an orthodox middle-class household, as the film traces her life until she is in the early 30s. The film explores the societal norms fuelled by misogyny and patriarchy-riddled family expectations that are imposed on women while growing up and later.
