Ridhi Dogra was last seen in the web series Asur 2. And she is excited about being the lead in a romantic comedy series titled Badtameez Dil.

The trailer for the show dropped on Monday, and the 10-episode web series revolves around Liz and Karan, played by Ridhi and Barun Sobti, respectively, who have completely different life philosophies.

Ridhi believes that classic romance is a feel-good emotion to be captured on the screen, adding that Badtameez Dil has done the job perfectly.

Describing the story in detail, the actor shared that the series portrays the problems that a lot of couples face these days while falling in love and how they fail to resolve these differences, opting instead for the easy way out. She thinks that Badtameez Dil will offer a different perspective on how to tackle such issues.

Ridhi said, "There’s a warm, familiar, happy, and comforting feeling with old-world romance. Stories about lovers and their unique love have always had a special place in people's hearts. I am thrilled to say that this is my first ever rom-com of any sort. I have never ever played a character like Liz, because I’ve never been a rom-com heroine."

The actress said that from the beginning of her career, she has played strong protagonists. Ridhi has been a part of series like Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak?, Savitri, Woh Apna Sa, The Married Woman, TVF Pitchers, and Asur. So, she is looking forward to the audience's response to her new show, which sees her in a conventional genre: rom-com.

Badtameez Dil is set in London. The series is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor and also stars Mallika Dua and Minissha Lamba.

It will be available to stream on June 9 on Amazon miniTV.
