Salman Khan’s Battle of Galwan is among the highly anticipated films of 2026, and the makers shared the promising teaser on his 60th birthday alongside a release date in April. The upcoming war drama film also marks a first collaboration between Salman Khan and Chitrangada Singh. The actress recently praised costar Salman Khan for his raw and original personality with ‘zero pretension.’ She also reflected on his authentic style that makes him easier to work with in the industry.

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Battle of Galwan is an upcoming war drama film that traces the true story of India’s Galwan Battle, which occurred in 2020 and marked a historic fight between India and China. In the teaser, Salman Khan channels a true patriot as he essays the role of a brave Indian Army officer, who leads a group of soldiers against a rough and high-altitude terrain. The movie also features Chitrangada Singh in a significant role. The actress is currently basking in the glory of her success as she played Meera Bansal in Netflix’s whodunit, Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders.

Sharing Salman Khan’s great traits that prove his mettle as an actor, Chitrangada told PTI, “I don't think he pretends to be anything else. The most amazing thing about him is that there is zero pretension... I’ve not come across anyone in the industry who has zero pretension, it's this man. He is exactly who he is. He will speak when he wants to, he will be quiet for as long as he wants to be, if he wants to work out now, he will go and work out now.”

The actress also praised his originality and raw nature, which makes him a fan-favourite as they adore his ‘spontaneous style of acting.’ She further added that Bhaijaan likes to improvise until the scene gets perfect.

During the conversation with the portal, Singh also added that she was previously set to collaborate with Salman Khan in 2016-17 in a movie, which was later shelved.

Meanwhile, Battle of Galwan is set to hit the screens on April 17, 2026, and will avoid a potential clash with Dhurandhar and Toxic. Both of which will release in March. The makers of Alpha have postponed the film to avoid a box office war with Salman’s Battle of Galwan.
