Sonalee Kulkarni made her OTT debut with the thriller series, Bestseller. One of the sought-after actors in the Marathi film industry, she is currently basking in the glory of the success of her recent Amazon Prime Video show. The actor is seen alongside Mithun Chakraborty, playing the role of a cop in the series.

In a recent interview with ETimes, the actor talked about the show, working with Mithun Chakraborty and her terms and conditions to work on Hindi projects. The actor admitted that she had reservations to work on a web show in the past but she agreed to do Bestseller as it met her terms and conditions as well. She said the only reservation she had earlier is that she doesn't want to do content that she cannot watch with her family. "That's my thumb rule. I was waiting for a show like Bestseller, which in spite of being a psychological thriller, is a family entertainer," she said.

Sonalee Kulkarni also said that the director of the show, Mukul Abhyankar is the 'sweetest director' she has worked with so far. He wouldn't say 'cut' after every shot but 'thank you'. He thanks every person, both cast and crew, after every shot for making that shot possible. Speaking further about her character and the show, she said it is a beautiful journey that her and Mithun Da's character share together.

Calling him an original 'disco dancer' of India, she added, "He’s so true and honest with the craft that he’s always prepared. He knows his lines even if it’s a five-page scene." She added that he would be ready by 5.30 am for a 6 am call time and he's always energetic and plays pranks with everyone on the sets. "Whether it’s a co-actor or a spot boy, he’s the same with everyone. He would never go to his vanity. He’s never quiet," she said to the portal.

She is now looking forward to doing more Hindi content as she believes content has evolved a lot. She said she is also looking forward to playing Urmila Ranade in Bestseller Season 2.
