After a long hiatus, Bhairavam marks the return of Manchu Manoj, Nara Rohith, and Bellamkonda Srinivas to Telugu cinema. All three actors have pinned a lot of hopes on this film, which is the official remake of the Tamil hit Garudan. Vijay Kanakamedala of Naandhi fame directed the film, which was released on May 30, 2025, to mixed reviews.

However, as there were no other major Telugu releases, Bhairavam managed to find its audience, thanks to the star cast. The family drama has completed five days of its theatrical run and has earned just over Rs 9 crore at the worldwide box office. Collections on Day 5 were limited to Rs 60 lakhs, as the IPL final was scheduled and audience turnout was low.

With this, Bhairavam has grossed just over Rs 18 crore, a decent number that has brought the makers into the safe zone financially. However, the film turned out to be a huge flop in the US, as it failed to meet even basic expectations—largely due to its mass-oriented genre.

Manchu Manoj, known for Vedham expressed his excitement over the film's success and thanked the makers for offering him a special role. For Rakshasudu star Bellamkonda Srinivas, the film was a blessing in disguise, especially as he was reeling from back-to-back flops and had almost faded from the Telugu cinema scene.

Aditi Shankar debuts in Telugu with Bhairavam

Bhairavam is also special as it marked the Telugu debut of Aditi Shankar. Her performance in a bubbly role won many hearts, and her on- and off-screen chemistry with Srinivas became a hot topic of discussion.
