Bhavana made her film debut as a teenager, with the Malayalam film Namal in 2002. Now 23 years later, Bhavana is set for the release for her 90th film, Anomie. Talking about how she was a girlie girl who loved movies such as The Princess Diaries and The Devil Wears Prada, Bhavana says that she cannot sit and watch rom-coms anymore. When asked if not even to relax, Bhavana replied, ‘I don’t think so’, saying that she prefers documentaries over it.
“If you give me something on an UFO or alien, I would watch it in one go. I cannot sit and watch Emily in Paris in one go. I will be fidgeting and restless. But I am addicted to thriller movies. I will watch the movie and then the documentary,” Bhavana explained, citing examples of thriller movies Zodiac and the documentary on the subject. Bhavana herself has been starred in several rom-coms such as Swapnakoodu and Chathikkatha Chanthu that were also hits.
The Anomie actress cited the one movie that changed her perspective was David Fincher’s thriller movie Seven.
Her current interest in thriller movies is another reason that she instantly made her say yes to the new movie Anomie, which stars her in the lead role of a forensic analyst. Senior actor Rahman is also a part of Anomie: The Equation, which is helmed by Riyas Marath.
