Bholaa Shankar teaser: Chiranjeevi plays a stylish goon who stands up for the masses
Meher Ramesh directs this Telugu remake of Vedalam that also stars Keerthy Suresh, Tamannaah, Sushanth

Chiranjeevi, who scored a hit after a gap with Waltair Veerayya earlier this year, is gearing up for his second release in 2023. His next is Bholaa Shankar, the Telugu remake of Ajith’s hit Vedalam, adapted and directed by Billa, Kanthri -fame director Meher Ramesh. Tamannaah plays his romantic interest while Keerthy Suresh is cast as his sister. Sushanth essays another crucial role as well.
Anil Sunkara is bankrolling the film under AK Entertainments in collaboration with KS Rama Rao’s Creative Commercials. The shoot of Bholaa Shankar has neared completion already and the film is set for a release on August 11, coinciding with the Independence Day weekend. After the launch of the first single Bholaa Mania, the teaser of the action entertainer was out today.
Bholaa Shankar’s teaser begins with a case where Kolkata cops are on the lookout for a man who has murdered 33 people and we’re introduced to the titular character, in the backdrop of a lion. There are glimpses of all the lead actors, flashes of Chiranjeevi’s comedy timing with a liberal dose of action, backed by a thumping music score by Mahati Swara Sagar.
By the end of the teaser, Chiranjeevi, amidst a confrontation with a goon who claims ownership of an area, gives him a stern warning in Hindi and Telugu and reiterates the release date - August 11. Raghu Babu, Murali Sharma, Ravi Shankar, Vennela Kishore, Tulasi, Sri Mukhi, Bithiri Sathi, Satya, Getup Srinu, Rashmi Gautam, Uttej play other important roles in Bholaa Shankar.
Ajay Sunkara is the co-producer of the film which has cinematography by Dudley, is edited by Marthand K Venkatesh. Ram-Laxman, Dileep Subbarayan design the action sequences and Sekhar master is the sole choreographer. Ramajogayya Sastry, Kasarla Shyam are the lyricists. Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of Bholaa Shankar.
