If you thought the teaser of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Bhramam was fun, its trailer, which released today, will surely leave you in splits! The video starts off just like the teaser with Prithviraj’s character Ray Mathews, “the only handsome and blind musician in town”, describing that you don’t need vision to experience certain things in life.

The quirky trailer of the Malayalam remake of Andhadhun also gives an insight into each of its characters – played by Shankar, Mamta Mohandas, Ananya, Jagadish and Unni Mukundan. Raashi Khanna, who plays Radhika Apte’s role in the original, is seen romancing Prithviraj’s character in the streets of Fort Kochi in the initial shots of the trailer that also has a smooch scene between the duo thrown in.

But that’s not all, the black comedy also promises some hilarious elements with Mamta’s character entering the fray along with Jagadish, Unni Mukundan and Ananya – after a murder leaves each of their lives topsy turvy.

The movie, which will release on Amazon Prime Video on October 7 in India, is directed by cinematographer-filmmaker Ravi K Chandran. The trailer also has some funny references to movies such as Pattanapravesham and Om Shanti Om that are sure to leave the audience smiling, especially considering that Prithviraj is part of a comedy film after almost one and half years.

Bhramam has Mamta playing Tabu’s role in the original while Unni Mukundan and Ananya essay husband and wife in the movie. Yesteryear actor Shankar plays the role of Mamta’s husband in the film, which has music composed by Jakes Bejoy.
