BIG NEWS: NTR Jr all set to join Hrithik Roshan in WAR 2, says reports

Only yesterday, we had reported about the ‘Big News’ which stated that Ayan Mukerji is now all set to direct Hrithik Roshan in the much awaited sequel of WAR which has been titled as ‘WAR 2’. The latest update about the film is nothing less than a casting coup of sorts. As per a news report in Pinkvilla, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Jr. (popularly known NTR Jr) is now all set to join the film.

Being made under the flagship of ‘YRF Spy Universe’, one can just see and witness that this universe is only getting bigger and bigger by the day. As per the said news report, it quoted a source stating that ‘NTR Jr. will be locking horns with Hrithik Roshan in War 2 and that the film is going to be an epic action adventure’. It added that their battle of wits and the fierce showdown would be an action spectacle worth experiencing on the big screen. It also stated that the film ‘WAR 2’ has now turned out to be a true-blue Pan India film with top superstars from the Northern and Southern industry.

A source close to OTTplay said that, “If the news about NTR Jr’s coming on board in ‘WAR 2’ is true, then, the makers of the film YRF is definitely bound to be sitting on a goldmine, even before the film’s release. The reason being, while on one hand, you have a young blood like Ayan Mukerji who will now be directing Hrithik Roshan, who has always been every director’s delight to work with. Added to that, Hrithik’s actions are as razor sharp as his swift dance moves. And with the success of ‘WAR’, the audiences will surely flock in to the theatres to see the film’s sequel. The second most important aspect of the film is NTR Jr’s coming on board in ‘WAR 2’. With the global success of his film ‘RRR’ and also the film bagging ‘Golden Globes’ and ‘Oscars’, NTR Jr is now a hot property in the film circles. Given his international appeal after Golden Globes and Oscars, the international audiences will also be flocking to see NTR Jr and Hrithik Roshan in one frame”.

With the announcement of ‘WAR 2’, this becomes the sixth film in the ‘YRF Spy Universe’. The other five films include ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, ‘WAR’, ‘Pathaan’ and the much awaited Salman Khan starrer ‘Tiger 3’. Speaking of ‘Tiger 3’, the film stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Emraan Hashmi, Ranvir Shorey, Shah Rukh Khan (in a cameo) and Vishal Jethwa in the principal roles.
