Star Maa opened applications for commoners, and the response has been terrific, with thousands of aspirants applying for the common entry.

Commoners to face tough tasks in Bigg Boss 9 Telugu

The makers have now decided to air a special show to select the commoners. One of the sources close to the show revealed to us that a special episode is being planned ahead of the streaming date. The final 10 to 15 contestants will participate in this show and undergo several tasks, with the winners eventually joining the rest of the housemates on the main show.

Sreemukhi to host a special show of Bigg Boss 9 Telugu

The buzz is that popular anchor Sreemukhi will host this special show, which is expected to kick off on August 2, 2025, although an official confirmation is still awaited. This news has gone viral in film circles. This special selection-based show will be available for streaming on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium.

In the past, commoners have entered the show, but not through such a rigorous selection process. The makers are leaving no stone unturned and want to make use of every single opportunity to build excitement. That is why they’ve shortlisted 10 to 15 participants for the special tasks, from which one or two will finally join the others in the Bigg Boss house.
