Malayalam actor Asif Ali’s latest film Mirage, helmed by Jeethu Joseph, released in theatres on September 19, 2025. The actor, who is busy with the Mirage promotions, also turned up at Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7 house along with Jeethu Joseph and lead actress Aparna Balamurali. Asif Ali, who seems to be well aware of the drama inside the BB house, revealed that his favourite contestant was Nevin. He also referred to Bigg Boss Malayalam host Mohanlal’s support for Adhila and Noora as a high point of BBMS7 (streaming on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium).

Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7 has completed over 50 days and the latest celebrities to pay visit to the BB house was Mirage director and lead actors Asif Ali and Aparna. After that, the trio sat down for an interview with Asianet, where Asif Ali revealed that he was a fan of Nevin and he and his wife also engage in fun banter, quoting from trending dialogues of Bigg Boss.

Not just Asif Ali, Nevin has been enjoying widespread popularity. Many find his quirky behaviour and interaction with other contestants in the house to be very entertaining.

The actor, whose Rekhachithram was the first hit of Malayalam cinema in 2025, also referred to the high points of Mohanlal-hosted show. The Mirage star specifically mentioned the recent weekend episode where Mohanlal had called out Lakshmi for her homophobic comments against lesbian couple, Adhila and Noora.

“Lal sir said, Njangalude veetil keetumalo (they will be welcomed at our home). They way he supported them…,” Asif Ali recalled.

This particular weekend episode has been the most talked about incident from Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7. Earlier, Lakshmi had an argument with Akbar, but dragged in Adhila and Noora, saying that he was taking their support. “They will not be even allowed into his house,” was Lakshmi’s comment which sparked a huge outcry. During the next weekend episode, Mohanlal slammed her comments that they were welcome at his house.
