Bigg Boss Tamil season 1- Oviya and Arav's kiss, Bharani's attempt to flee

This season's most famous contestant Oviya, and winner Arav, shared a kiss within the house, creating much talk, given Arav tried to defend his action as some sort of medical intervention he had to do. Oviya, who had become a fan favourite, also came out saying she is getting bullied inside the house by fellow housemate Gayathri Raguram. She also went on to drown herself in the pool and later walked out of the show, citing her mental health. On the sidelines, another contestant, Bharani also climbed the fence of the house and tried to escape, citing mental health concerns. He was later evicted.

Bigg Boss Tamil season 2 - Aishwarya Dutta's Hitler task and racist remarks, when Thaadi Balaji played against his former wife

Actor Aishwarya Dutta, who came as runner-up, unleashed her anger during the Hitler task and dumped garbage on Thaadi Balaji. Infamous for her angry personality, she used racist remarks on co-contestant Riythvika (who went on to become the winner). On the other hand, Balaji entered the house without knowing that his former wife, Nithya, is also a contestant.

Bigg Boss season 3 - Madhumita cutting her wrist and when police entered house

Jangiri Madhumita had cut her wrist, citing provocation as her relationship with housemates turned sour. She had made several allegations on fellow contestants, and for her safety, she was removed from the house. In different instances, Tamil Nadu police had entered the house twice, once to investigate Vanitha Vijayakumar for a legal case issue, and the other to confront Meera Mithun for a robbery/cheating case.

Bigg Boss Tamil season 7 - MeToo movement, Pradeep Antony's red card ejection

Actor Pradeep Antony, who was known for orchestrating strategy, was given a red card and ejected from the house after some female housemates accused him of unprofessional behaviour. Contestants Maya, Poornima, Nixen, and Jovika, among others, sided together to allege that Pradeep often urinated while keeping the toilet door open and that his behaviour made them feel unsafe. After his red card eviction, a section of people backlashed at the group for making false allegations and manipulating the host.

Bigg Boss Tamil season 8 - Anshitha, Vishal, Tharshika's love triangle

While Anshitha and Arnav’s relationship was questioned, given that they shared a past before entering the house and Arnav’s already married status, the equation changed later inside the house. VJ Vishal’s closeness to Tharshika prompted some sort of romance, but the sudden eviction of the latter, shifted the blame to Vishal being the reason. Further, his close involvement with Anshitha also prompted many to question his liaison towards the ladies.
