Bomb, the 2025 Tamil film, is gearing up for release in a few days. The film is a rural drama, and features known faces, including actors Arjun Das and Kaali Venkat, among others. While the trailer of Bomb reveals that Kaali Venkat plays a seemingly dead man, here is what the story is all about.

According to an online ticket booking site, Bomb is set in a rural village called Kaalakammaipaati which witnesses the clash of two faith-driven sects. But when an atheist Kathiravan dies on a sacred night, his body keeps farting. While the villagers see it as some form of divinity, each side begins to claim him as their God. But what happens only when his friend Mani Muthu realises that he is alive and that he is battling blind faith. The film appears to blend satire and commentary on the belief system.

Bomb also marks a departure of sorts in Arjun Das’ career, who will appear in a rural drama. In a conversation with OTTplay, the actor said that his character Mani Muthu is innocent, soft-spoken and easily fearing everyone.

Bomb is set to release in theatres on September 12. It is directed by Vishal Venkat, whose debut film Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal can be streamed on Aha Tamil and OTTplay Premium. Bomb is also written by Manikandan Mathavan and Abishek Sabarigirison.

The cast includes Shivathmika Rajashekar, Nassar, Abhirami, Singampuli, and Balasaravanan, among others. The technical crew includes D Imman scoring the music and Rajkumar PM cranking the camera. Prasanna GK is the editor and the dialogues have been penned by Makizhnan BM, Manikandan and Abishek.
