Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Brahmastra is the most anticipated film of 2022. The makers have been creating a lot of curiosity among the audience with the trailer and teaser. Meanwhile, a new revelation has created a huge buzz among the fans. Reportedly, Deepika Padukone has been locked to play Parvati in the second part.

According to Pinkvilla, Ayan Mukerji's film is already set for a sequel, while a new character will be introduced in the second part named Dev.

A source close to the development recently unveiled to Pinkvilla that Brahmastra 2 will be about the story of two key characters - Mahadev and Parvati. "In fact, Deepika will also make a cameo towards the end of Brahmastra, which will eventually take the film into the second part," the source added.

Meanwhile, the source further revealed that the Om Shanti Om actress has already shot for the sequence in question for Brahmastra One: Shiva.

The source also informed that all the characters are interlinked in this Ayan Mukerji's Astraverse which is deep-rooted in Indian mythology and hasn't been witnessed by the world before.

Meanwhile, Shiva and Isha (Ranbir and Alia) will continue to be parts of the trilogy after the first film.

The director of Brahmastra recently unveiled a video explaining the depth of the Astra verse he has created. In the montage, Ayan explained how this whole concept of the world of weapons began and how the story has been written according to today's world to make it more relatable to the audience.

Backed by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Namit Malhotra, Ranbir Kapoor, Marijke Desouza and the director-writer himself, Brahmastra also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy as an antagonist, Nagarjuna Akkineni as one of the protectors of Astras with Dimple Kapadia, Divyendu Sharma, Dhruv Sehgal, Saurav Gurjar in supporting roles and Shah Rukh Khan in an extended cameo appearance.
