Cannes 2023: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stuns in a black and silver hooded gown for her first red carpet appearance

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, a Cannes regular, has finally made her way onto the red carpet. She put on a hooded gown from Sophie Couture that was black and silver. The fashion industry will undoubtedly fall in love with Aishwarya's stunning new look. Ex-Miss World's crimson lips were the finishing touch.

Sophie Couture has posted photos and descriptions of the outfit on their official Instagram account. The caption read, "Unveiling a mind-blowing creation from our Maison, paired with lightweight aluminium details, a signature corset, and crystals, from the Cannes Capsule Collection."

The paparazzi went crazy on the red carpet, shouting the diva's name over and over again. When it comes to international awards shows like Cannes, Aishwarya is one of the most recognisable Indian stars.

Before the actor even walked the red carpet in Cannes, her single outfit choice went viral. Aishwarya wore a stunning green Valentino cape dress with sequins. She topped off her ensemble with see-through block heels.

A fan of Aishwarya said, "The OG is back," referring to the actor. "Finally, the bling we've all been waiting for," said another.

Aishwarya and her daughter, Aaradhya, are currently in Cannes. The former Miss World's fan club recently uploaded a video to YouTube showing her daughter receiving a lavish welcome and a bouquet of flowers at Cannes.

The 16th annual Cannes Film Festival will wrap up on May 17, 2023. The festival has been going strong since 1946, providing a venue for filmmakers to present their films and vie for honours, including the festival's top prize, the Palme d'Or.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Aishwarya is currently riding high with the success of her latest outing, Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2 which was released in April this year. The actor played a double role in the Mani Ratnam directorial, as Nandini and her mute mother Mandakini.
