The makers of Dhanush's Captain Miller today dropped a sneak peek from the film. The video, which is a minute long, gives a glimpse of technicians and artisans erecting the set and creating the backdrop for the film. The film's director Arun Matheswaran is seen interacting with them. As he says 'Action' towards the end of the video, we see Dhanush holding a rifle and standing atop a hillock. Going by the video, it seems like there will be some heavy-duty gunblazing fight in the film.

The team had only recently resumed work after a long break during Christmas. The current schedule is happening in Kutralam and the set has been erected in Tenkasi. Captain Miller is said to be set in the 1930s and 40s and Dhanush is sporting long hair and beard for his look in the film. The star cast includes Priyanka Arul Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, John Kokken, Nivedhithaa Sathish to name a few.

This is the first time that Dhanush is teaming up with Arun Matheswaran and a lot is riding on the film. Music for the film is by GV Prakash Kumar and dialogues are by lyricist Madan Karky. While the cinematography is by Shreyas Krishna, editing is by Nagooran. Captain Miller is said to be made on a high budget and is bankrolled by Sathya Jyothi Films.

In the meantime, Dhanush has signed his 50th project with Sun Pictures. The film is currently being referred to as D50. Dhanush is also awaiting the release of Vaathi (Sir in Telugu), which is helmed by Venky Atluri. Dhanush plays a teacher who works to reform the education system. Samyuktha Menon plays the leading lady in it. The makers have confirmed that the film will hit screens in February. Dhanush was last seen in Selvaragahavan's Naane Varuven.
