Vijay Raghavendra's landmark 50th film saw him don the role of a gritty cop in Seetharam Benoy. While the film didn't go on to become a credible commercial success, Vijay won praise for his portrayal and so did writer-director Deviprasad Shetty for etching an interesting narrative. Now, as per the latest reports, the two are all set to reunite for yet another rivetting project titled Case of Kondana.

As the title suggests, the film is a crime thriller that comes with the tagline 09/2018 which, most likely, refers to a specific date in the year 2018. Vijay Raghavendra will be seen as a police officer once again but this time around he is joined by his Chowka co-star Bhavana Menon and Kushee Ravi of Dia fame. While Bhavana essays the role of a cop in the film, reports reveal that Kushee will be seen playing a doctor. Ahead of the shoot, the makers are said to be engrossed in finalizing the rest of the cast.

In the same report, director Devi Prasad shares that Case of Kondana boasts of multiple parallel stories and character arcs. Considering that Vijay Raghavendra has already played a cop in the duo's previous collaboration, the task on hand would be to present him differently in the upcoming film.

The official title poster will be launched on September 8 at 11:07 am by Srii Murali (Vijay Raghavendra's younger brother), Daali Dhananjaya, and Sharan.

National award-winning actor Vijay Raghavendra is currently juggling between his film and reality TV careers and is certainly striving hard to stay relevant with his choices as an actor. Aside from Case of Kondana, he has Hakoona Batata and Raagu lined up: he recently served as the judge on the reality show Dancing Champion along with choreographer/dancer Mayuri Upadhya and actress Meghana Raj Sarja.

As far as Case of Kondana is concerned, the film will be officially launched in September and reportedly, will go on floors on September 28. The team plans to shoot the film in Bengaluru and recreate the fictional town of Kondana on the outskirts of the city. Devi Prasad Shetty produces the film along with Sathwik Hebbar and Arvind Shetty with Poornachandra Tejaswi of Lucia and U-Turn fame scoring the music. Popular Kannada author Jogi is said to be in charge of the dialogues and Jayant Kaikini will be penning the lyrics of the songs.
