The Mumbai Heroes, Bhojpuri Dabanggs, Punjab De Sher and Bengal Tigers will be at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on February 9 for Day 2 of the 2025 Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), which is in its 11th season. The star-studded tournament began on February 8, Saturday, in Bengaluru at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, where two pulsating encounters took place.

First up, the defending champions Bengal Tigers began their title defense campaign against the Chennai Rhinos, and picked up 2 points with a convincing win over the latter. The second match of the day saw the home team Karnataka Bulldozers take on the Telugu Warriors, which, at half way point seemed like it could either way, but was then firmly in the hold of Kiccha Sudeep and his boys.

This time, there are only 7 teams playing CCL, what with the Kerala Strikers having withdrawn from the competition. This is also why the Bengal Tigers have their second match in less than 24 hours after the first. Jisshu Sengupta’s side will play the Sonu Sood-led Punjab De Sher, a team that’s only playing the tournament for the fifth time and has never made it past the group stage. The Bengal Tigers vs Punjab De Sher match is at 2 pm.

The second match of the day will have the 2019 champs, the Riteish Deshmukh led Mumbai Heroes taking on Manoj Tiwari’s spirited Bhojpuri Dabanggs side. The Dabanggs have played 7 editions of the tournament so far, 3 out of which they perished at semi-final stage, while they played one final in a year they were the fancied team, only to lose to the Telugu Warriors. Having crashed out before the play-offs last year, they will want to change that track record, but the Mumbai Heroes are a strong side, who have quite consistently made it at least to semi-final stage. Their match begins at 6.30 pm.
