It’s the penultimate day of the group stage matches of CCL2026. There’ve been 8 matches already, and 3 teams are definitely out of the reckoning for the semis. Punjab De Sher and Mumbai Heroes have lost two matches and the result of their last encounters won’t matter much, while the Telugu Warriors, with 2 losses and only 1 win, are also out of contention. Today, one more, the Kerala Strikers, will finish its quota of matches, a win could give them a shot at the semis, but a loss will either shut the door or mean a nervous wait for the results of Day 6 on January 25 for the top 4 to be decided based on points and net run rate.

Right now, the Bengal Tigers with 3 wins have topped the charts and sealed a spot in the semis, while the Karnataka Bulldozers are in second position with two victories and one more match to go.
