Chennai City Gangsters is about two men who were asked to safeguard a lumpsum of money after a planned loot. However, after they lose it, the two men recruit four aged criminals with quirky defects to execute a bank heist in order to settle up the lost money. The black comedy film is bankrolled by Bobby Balachandran under his BTG Universal banner. The ensemble star cast also includes actors Anandaraj, Livingston, Rajendran, John Vijay, Redin Kingsley, and Ilavarasu in supporting roles. D Imman has scored the music for Chennai City Gangsters.
